Answer:

x=3

Explanation:

The Absolute Value term is 2|3x-2|

For the Negative case we'll use -2(3x-2)

For the Positive case we'll use 2(3x-2)

2(3x-2) = 14

Multiply

-6x+4 = 14

Rearrange and Add up

-6x = 10

Divide both sides by 6

-x = (5/3)

Multiply both sides by (-1)

x = -(5/3)

Which is the solution for the Negative Case

2(3x-2) = 14

Multiply

6x-4 = 14

Rearrange and Add up

6x = 18

Divide both sides by 6

x = 3

Which is the solution for the Positive Case

x=-5/3

x=3
