So if you make 45,000 a year and you get a 2,500 raise all you need to do is add 45,000 and 2,500. Your answer for the first year is 47,500. Then you add another 2,500 to 47,500 which you will get 50,000 for your second year. The third year process is the same which is 52,500. You do this process until you get to the sixth year.
