Answer:

B (7, 4 )

Explanation:

Given endpoints (x₁, y₁ ) and (x₂, y₂ ) then the midpoint is

[
(x_(1)+x_(2) )/(2) ,
(y_(1)+y_(2) )/(2) ] ← midpoint formula

let coordinates of B = (x, y ), then using the midpoint formula, equate to each of the coordinates of M, that is

(-2+x)/(2) = 2.5 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

- 2 + x = 5 ( add 2 to both sides )

x = 7

(-7+y)/(2) = - 1.5 ( multiply both sides by 2 )

- 7 + y = - 3 ( add 7 to both sides )

y = 4

Thus

coordinates of B = (7, 4 )
