Answer:

200 bushels soybeans

600 bushels wheat

Explanation:

If s is bushels of soybeans, and w is bushes of wheat, then:

s + w = 800

8.5s + 4.5w = 5.5(800)

Substitute:

8.5s + 4.5(800 − s) = 5.5(800)

8.5s + 3600 − 4.5s = 4400

4s = 800

s = 200

w = 600
