M - Mulitiplication

D - Divide

A - Add

S - Subtract

So, with that you learn that you solve whatever is in the parenthesis first.

(9 - 3) = 6

Now, divide 20 by 4 which equals 5.

So now the problem is now 6 + 5 which equals 11.

The answer is 11.
