Answer:

Explanation:

The slope formula is M=y2-y1

______

X2-X1

Ex. (-1,1) and (1,-2)

x1,y1 x2,y2

-2+1 -3

_____= ____

1+(+1) 2

Graph:

Any linear function can be quickly graphed using the form: y=mx+b

X: independent variable

y: dependent variable

M: slope

b: y-intercept

(When you don't have a denominator for M put a 1 Ex. 4--> 4/1)

Ex. y=-1/2x + 4

M= 1/2

B: 4

Rise/Run = -1/2 "rise" (being the change in y, going up or down) divided by the "run" (being the change in x, going from left to the right).
