Explanation:
Given
B C : C D : D E = 1 : 6 : 2
BE = 45
DE = ?
Solution
BC = x, CD = 6x, DE = 2x
BE = BC + CD + DE
x + 6x + 2x = 45
9x = 45
x = 5
DE = 2x = 2* 5 = 10
