Hey there!

Use cos ratio to find the value of 'a'.

As per given, we can state that it is a Right angled triangle, so taking 38° reference angle.

We get;

p = AC

b = 6

and h= a

Here, Use the value of b, h and 38° angle to find the value of a.


\cos(38° ) = (b)/(h)


\cos(38°) = (6)/(a)


0.7881 = (6)/(a) [ cos(38°=0.7881]


0.7881a = 6


a = (6)/(0.7881)

Therefore the measure of a is 7.61 Or 8.
