Answer:

3/10

Explanation:

If ¼ of a box is filled with candies and the rest is cookies, then the fraction of cookies in the box will be expressed as;

fraction of cookies in the box = 1 -¼

fraction of cookies in the box =
(4-1)/(4)
= (3)/(4)

If 3/5 of the cookies are chocolate chip cookies, then the amount of chocolate chip cookies in the box will be 3/5 of 3/4 i.e 9/20 chocolate chip cookies. If the rest are oatmeal raisin cookies, the amount of oatmeal raisin cookies will be 3/4 - 9/20

fraction of oatmeal raisin cookies = 3/4 - 9/20

= (15-9)/20

= 6/20

= 3/10

Hence 3/10 of the box is an oatmeal raisin cookies
