Step-by-step explanation:

During this period, crusaders would go over to the middle east, getting into contact with Muslims and with new ideas and products when they raided, etc. to villages they would visit. When the successful crusaders would return(those that survived) they would bring back what they had gotten. This introduced Europe to the three main concepts of Antiquity: idealism, secularism and humanism, which led to the Renaissance. In addition, this ultimately caused the Reconquista in Spain, Age of Exploration(as ppl were introduced to lateens, astrolabes, compasses and caravels). Higher upper class were introduced to luxuries and contributed to the decline of Medieval Institutions.
