3y^2-14y+16

Process:
(3y-8)(-2+y)
Use the FOIL on the parentheses
=3y(-2+y)-8(-2+y)
Use the distributive property
=-6y+3y^2+16-8y
Combine like terms
=3y^2-8y-6y+16
=3y^2-14y+16
