Part (a)

There are 4 kings and 4 queens, so 8 cards we want out of 52 total.

8/52 = 0.1538 which rounds to 0.154

Answer: 0.154

Part (b)

There are now 4+4+4 = 12 cards that are either a king, queen, or ace

12/52 = 0.230769 approximately which rounds to 0.231

Answer: 0.231

Part (c)

There are 4 jacks and 13 clubs. This gives 4+13 = 17, but we subtract 1 to account for the fact we double counted the jack of clubs when we added earlier. That gives 17-1 = 16 cards that are either a jack, a club, or the jack of clubs.

16/52 = 0.30769 which rounds to 0.308

Answer: 0.308
