This is the idea where if we had two numbers A and B, then we have the three possibilities

  • A < B
  • A = B
  • A > B

We can only pick one item that is true at a time.

In this case, 3+2 simplifies to 5, so 3+2 = 5 is true while 3+2 > 5 is not true.

3+2 > 5 simplifies to 5 > 5, and there's no way a number is larger than itself.
