Answer:

angles z and 9x + 41 are vertically opposite

Hence, 9x + 41 = z ------------------------(1)

Since a line makes an angle of 180 degrees,

and the angles z and 15x + 19 are made on a straight line

So,

z + (15x + 19) = 180

z + 15x = 161

z = 161 - 15x --------------------------(2)

Using the value of z from equation (2) in equation (1)

9x + 41 = 161 -15x

9x + 15x = 161 - 41

24x = 120

x = 5

Substituting the value of x in (1)

9(5) + 41 = z

45 + 41 = z

86 = z

Therefore,

x = 5

z = 86
