Explanation:


|4x + 10| = |5x - 1|

Out of that equation above we can rewrite these in different versions of signs separately:


- (4x + 10) = 5x - 1


4x + 10 = 5x - 1

We can finally solve for x in those equations:


- (4x + 10) = 5x - 1 \\ - 4x - 10 = 5x - 1 \\ - 9x = 9 \\ x = - 1
