The distance (d) in meters that an ant can travel varies directly with the amount of time (t) in hours it spends walking.assume that an ants constant off proportionality is 18. If an ant walks for 10 minutes, how far will it travel?

Answer:

d = 3 meters

Explanation:

d = rt where d is the distance t is the time and r is the constant of proportionality

d = 18t

Changing 10 minutes to hours

10 minutes * 1 hours / 60 minute = 1/6 hour

d = 18 * 1/6 hour

d = 3 meters
