Explanation:

To find the new transformed f(x), follow below:

f(x) = parent function / function with no transformation like x^2, sinx, etc.

f(x+a) = horizontal shifts to left ‘a’ units.

f(x-a) = horizontal shifts to right ‘a’ units.

f(x) + a = vertical shift up ’a’ units.

f(x) - a = vertical shift down ‘a’ units.

Above are basic function transformation so if a constant is added in a bracket to x-term, it goes to left but if it’s subtracted with x then the graph shifts to right and if a constant adds with f(x) like x^2 + a then it goes up but if it subtracts then it goes down.

The question says to write f(x) when f(x) shifts to right 2 units because it shifts to right then we subtract x with 2 which we get f(x-2)
