Distribute... basically meaning to remove the brackets by multiplying 3 by x and 3 by 2... let go...

3×x - 3×2= 18

3x - 6 = 18

Now send the negative six across the equal sign and change it to positive six.... basically separating letters from numbers.... lets go...

3x = 18 + 6

3x = 24

x = 24/3

x = 8
