Answer:

y=2x+1

Explanation:

using the slope-intercept formula y=mx+b:

y states it is simply a line, nothing to find here

m•x states the slope, or rate of change

b states the y-intercept, or where the line intersects the vertical line on thr graph, y.

SO with this info:

we can find the slope by choosing any two points. for my example i choose (0,1) and (2,5). the distance between the two is up +4 units (can also be found with 5-1=4). the distance also moves right +2 units (can also be found with 2-0=0). this gives up a fraction of y (up/down) ÷ x (left/right). in other words, its a fraction of 4/2, which can be reduced to 2/1, which is the same thing as 2. our slope is 2.

to find our y-intercept we simply need to find where our bold line with arrows meets our bold vertical line with arrows named y. that point is at (0,1) and since we're only looking for the y point we only need the y point, which is 1. our y-intercept is 1.

that's all. much love :)
