Explanation:

so I got the slope of these two points: (-8,1) and (-6,0) which is:

y₂ - y₁ / x₂ - x₁ = (0-1)/(-6+8) = -1/2

then from the graph it is visible that the y-intercept is -3

so with both of this information:

y = -1/2x - 3
