Bobby's measuring cup holds 27 cubic inc of flour. He has enough flour to fill this measuring cup exactly 120 times. If his bread recipe calls for 36 oz of flour per leaf, and we know that 1 cubic inch of flour weighs 0.4 oz, how many loaves of bread can Bobby make?

Answer:

36 loaves

Explanation:

The measuring cup can hold 27 in³ of flour, and his flour can fill the measuring cup 120 time. Hence, the amount of flour available is:

Amount of flour = 120 × volume of measuring cup = 120 × 27 in³ = 3240 in³

1 in³ = 0.4 oz

3240 \ in^3=3240\ in*(0.4\ oz)/(in^3)=1296\ oz\\ \\

Each leaf of bread needs 36 oz of flour

1296\ oz=1296\ oz*(1\ leaf)/(36\ oz) =36\ loaves

This means that Bobby can make up to 36 loaves bread
