If the rectangle WXYZ was reflected about the x-axis, the resulting image would have coordiantes W’(-8,5) X’(-7,-5) Y’(8,10) and (4,-10). What were the coordinates of the preimage WXYZ?

W(8,5) X(7,-5) Y(-8,10) Z(-4,-10) since it was a reflection over the X-axis then the X values will change but the Y values won’t. If the x value is positive in the pre-image then when it’s reflected over the X-axis then the x value will be negative in the image. They Y values stay the same as in the pre-image because the shape isn’t being reflected over the Y-axis meaning it’s not being moved up or down so the Y values remain the same unless the pre-image is reflected over the Y-axis

Answer:

W'(8,5) X'(7,-5) Y'(-8,10) Z'(-4,-10)

I would say that this is the answer, but when I graphed it out, it didn't make a rectangle, so I believe that you or your teacher typed something wrong.
