Answer:

x = 1.5

Explanation:

Step 1: you distribute what is on the outside of the parenthesis to EVERYTHING on the inside of the equation which will leave you with

7x-14-3x+5=-10x+8+4

Step 2: Combine your like terms. You have to add all the X's on the left side first, then your whole numbers. After that, you go to the right side and do the same thing. This should leave you with 4x-9=-10x+12

Step 3: get x to one side of the equation. You do the opposite of what the x is on the right. So you would add 10x on both sides. This should leave you with 14x-9=12

Step 4: You do the opposite of the whole number on the left to both sides/ add 9 to both sides. This should leave you with 14x=21

Step 5: you now divide both sides by 14 because 14x is a multiplication problem, and you need to do the opposite. So you should finally get

X=1.5

Explanation:

(((7•(x-2))-3x)+5)-((0-2•(5x-4))+4) = 0

STEP

2

:

Equation at the end of step 2

((7 • (x - 2) - 3x) + 5) - (12 - 10x) = 0

:

Pulling out like terms

4.1 Pull out like factors :

14x - 21 = 7 • (2x - 3)

Equation at the end of step

4

:

7 • (2x - 3) = 0

STEP

:

Equations which are never true

5.1 Solve : 7 = 0

This equation has no solution.

A non-zero constant never equals zero.

Solving a Single Variable Equation:

5.2 Solve : 2x-3 = 0

Add 3 to both sides of the equation :

2x = 3

Divide both sides of the equation by 2:

x = 3/2 = 1.500

One solution was found :

x = 3/2 = 1.500
