5(х + 4) = 5х + 20.
How can I determine if that’s infinite or no solutions ?

Answer:

Infinite

Explanation:

5(x+4)=5x+20\\\\5x+20=5x+20

Both sides of the equation are identical. This means that all values for x are true, and the equation has infinitely many solutions.

If it had no solutions, the final product would be a contradiction.

Hope this helps.

distribute 5 to x and 4 and remove the parentheses [5x+20=5x+20] subtract from both sides or divide by both sides which will give you 5x=5x or 20=20. it’s infinite because it’s the exact same number
