1.) distribute the 2

(8+3d^2)-6+2d^2

= 8+3d^2+-6+-2d^2

2.)combine like terms

8+3d^2+-6+-2d^2

8+-6= 2

3d^2-2d^2= d^2

So you're answer is: d^2+2
