Explanation:

Hey there!

Given;

Midpoint is (-1,3) and one endppint is; A(4,-1).

Let the coordinates of C be (x,y).

Use the midpoint formula.

(x,y) = ( (x1 + x2)/(2) ,(y1 + y2)/(2) )

Put all values.

( - 1,3) = ((4 + x)/(2) ,( - 1 + y)/(2) )

Since, they are equal, equating with their corresponding elements we get,

- 1 = (4 + x)/(2)

Simplify it.

- 2 = 4 + x

x = - 6

Again,

3 = ( - 1 + y)/(2)

Simplify it.

6 = - 1 + y

y = 7

Therefore the another endpoint is C(-6,7).

Hope it helps...
