Value:

x = 3

y = 4

Given Equation:

3y = ax + 7

Solution:

By putting the values of x and y, we get

3(4) = a(3) + 7

or, 12 = 3a + 7

or, 12 - 7 = 3a

or, 5/3 = a

Answer:

a = 5/3

To Check:

12 = 5/3(3) + 7

or, 12 = 12

LHS = RHS

Hence, Verified.
