If he is going to enlarge it by extending each side 7 feet, then;

The new length l = (4W + 7) feet

The new width will be w =(W+7) feet

Perimeter of the rectangular gerden P = 2(l+w)

l and w are the new length and width

Substituting l = 4W+7 and w = W+7 into the formula;

P = 2(4W+7+W+7)

P = 2(5W+14)

open the parenthesis

P = 10W + 28
