Help!!A student lists some characteristics of asexual reproduction in plants.

1. It requires a sperm cell and an egg cell to
combine to produce a new organism.
2. It produces offspring identical to the
parent plant.
3. Plant parts such as stems, roots, and leaves
take part in this type of reproduction.
4. It occurs only in flowering plants.
Which characteristics did the student list correctly?
1 and 2
1 and 4
2 and 3
2 and 4

2 and 3. Seeing as only 1 parent is producing the offspring, it’s bound to have be identical. Flowering plants can be produced asexual or sexually so it has to be 2 and 3.
