Explanation:
Write the first 4 terms of the sequence:
f(1) = 9
f(n) = -3*f(n-1) + 4, for n ≥ 2
Solution:
f(1) = 9
f(2) = -3*f(1) + 4 = -3*9 + 4 = -23
f(3) = -3*f(2) + 4 = -3*(-23) + 4 = 73
f(4) = -3*f(3) + 4 = -3*73 + 4 = -215
