Answer:

(a) 2440 kg

(b) 1.33 × 10²⁷ kg

Explanation:

(a) From the table attached

Diameter of Mercury has been given as

4.88 × 10³≈ 4.88 × 1000 = 4880 km

Since radius of a circle =
(Diameter)/(2)

Therefore, radius of mercury =
(4880)/(2)

= 2440 km

The radius of Mercury is 2440 km.

(b) Mass of Jupiter = 1.898 × 10²⁷

Mass of Saturn = 5.68 × 10²⁶

≈ 0.568 × 10²⁷

Difference in the masses of Jupiter and Saturn = 1.898 × 10²⁷ - 0.568 × 10²⁷

= 1.33 × 10²⁷ kg

Difference between the masses of Jupiter and Saturn is 1.33 × 10²⁷ kg.
