A = 7.5in^2

Explanation:

Your a (base) is 4, which is A-P.

Your b (base) is 1, which is T-R.

Your h (height) is 3, which is the distance from the bottom of the trapezoid to the top.

Then you plug it into your formula, A = (a + b) x h/2 (A = (4 + 1) x 3/2)

That equals 7.5.
