Since the figure is a trapezoid, we must use the trapezoid area formula,
A = (b_1 + b_2) / 2 * h. By doing so, we can plug in the shown numbers on the image. After that, we multiply.


A = (8 + 14) / 2 * 5


A = 22/2 * 5


A = 11 *5


A = 55^2

The area of the trapezoid is 55 squared yards.
