A plot is the sequence of events that affect what will happen in the story. Theme is the central topic of the story, it is what the writer wanted you take away from the story. Tone expresses the writers emotions, it is how the writer feels. Imagery is the language the writer uses to help us create images of the story in our minds. Flashbacks are scented in the story that takes us back in time from the current point of the story.
