P=4
First you’ll start with simplifying. There’s nothing you need to do on the left, so focus on the right to simplify.

Since -5 is outside of the parenthesis, multiply the numbers inside by it (by it I mean -5). -5 multiplied by 6p would equal -30p.

-5 multiplied by -2 would equal 10. (It’s positive because a negative multiplied by a negative equals a positive).

So now that it’s simplified, you have:
-110 = -30p + 10

Move the 10 to the opposite side. When doing this, since 10 is positive, you’ll add it on both sides but as a negative. If that makes sense? So I would be:

-110 = -30p +10
-10 -10

This would cancel out the 10 on the left, which leaves the -30p all alone.

But you’re still left with that -10 being added onto the left. So you add it. (I’m not sure if adding would be the correct word considering it’s a negative but I’m assuming you understand). This will leave you with:

-120 = -30p

This is when you divide. Since -30p is the one with the variable, -120 will be divided by it. -120/-30= 4.

So your answer would be p =4.
I hope this helped :)
