5x + y - 6 = 0.........equ2

5x + y - 6 = 0

y = 6 - 5x

put equ.2 into equ 1

3x - 4(6 - 5x) + 1 = 0

3x - 24 +20x + 1 = 0

group like terms

23x = 24 - 1

23x = 23

divide through by 23

23x/23 = 23/23

x = 1

Put X into equ.2

3(1) - 4y + 1 = 0

4y = 4

divide through by 4

4y/4 = 4/4

y = 1
