Negative 6 to the 8th power divided by negative 6 to the 5th power

Explanation:


\sf{ \frac{{( - 6)}^(8) }{{( - 6)}^(5) } }

We know that:-

  • Powers of same bases,
  • When go to numerator, gets subtracted.

So,


{( - 6)}^(8 - 5)


{( - 6)}^(3)


= - 216

is the answer.

Odd powers do not change the sign.

But even powers do change it.
