Explanation:

First you want to find m or the slope so use the formula m=y2-y1/x2-x1 and you get your slope which is 1.6.

Then you plug in your slope to the equation including another coordinate or example (3,12) plugged in to make 12=1.6(3)+b. Now you can solve for b.

Once you do that you get b=7.2

So now with m=1.6 and b=7.2, you can finally make the equation.

y=1.6x+7.2
