disease, overworking, and war

the europeans brought things like smallpox, the measles, and influenza to the americas. the natives had no natural immunity to these illnesses, so about 99% of those who caught it would die. europeans also took the natives as slaves to work on their plantations until they all died. there were also many indian raids as a result of colonization
