Why did Britons and other people in Western Europe have mixed feelings about the Munich Agreement?

munich agreement basically allowed germany to invade czechoslovakia and take the sudetenland and germany had to promise to “not invade any other territories”. basically the czech and slovaks hated this because their land would be stolen.
