Explanation:

= 6(x + 4) = 3x - 2
= 6 * x + 6 * 4 = 3x - 2
= 6x + 24 = 3x - 2
= 6x - 3x + 24 = -2
= 6x - 3x = -2 - 24
= 3x = -26
