The dimensions of a rectangle can be represented by

the functions shown.
Which function represents the area of the rectangle,
h(x) = f(x)g(x)?
x h(x) = 15x2 - 29x + 14
O h(x) = 15x2 - 41x - 9
Oh(x) = 15x2 - 29x - 14
O h(x) = 15x2 - 41x +14
f(x) 5x - 2
9(x) 3x - 7

Answer:

D, h(x) =
5x^(2) – 41x + 14

Explanation:

Write out the problem

f(x) 5x-2 × g(x) 3x-7

Use the distributive property for each term

5x × 3x =
15x^(2)

5x × -7 = -35x

3x × -2 = -6x

-2 × -7 = 14

15x^(2) - 35x - 6x + 14

Combine like terms

15x^(2) - 41x + 14
