Remember that to multiply means: add any given number or quantity to itself a certain number of times. Look at the expression 3 + 3 + 3 + 3. How would you write this as a multiplication problem? How would you write the expression (-3) + (-3) + (-3) + (-3) as a multiplication problem?

(3+3+3+3=12) (3x4=12)

(-3) +(-3)+ (-3)+ (-3)= (-12) (-3x4=-12)
