According to Boyles law


\\ \rm\Rrightarrow P\propto (1)/(v)

  • So if pressure is increased volume will be decreased and vice versa

Now pressure is doubled means multiplied by 2

The volume will be divided by two of get halved .

New volume

  • 500/2
  • 250cm³
