During an audition for a play is it ok to mix up words in a monologue

From personal experience, it was always ok to mess up as long as you kept going as if you didn't make a mistake at all. By doing so, the audience won't be able to even tell. It's also better if it's something that the judges/audience aren't that familiar with.

generally you don't want to mess it up but if you do just keep going try to learn it as well as you can

so basically try not to :)
