Here, we want to find the greatest value of the integer 1-x^2

We should understand that when we talk of integers, we are referring to whole numbers.

We should understand that 0 is also an integer.

Apart from zero, any other integer we substitute for x will give the function a negative value. Only 0 will make sure that the value remains positive and as such gives the function its highest possible value

So therefore;

1-0^2 = 1-0 = 1

Hence, the greatest possible value of the expression is 1
