A secondary source is any source that was NOT created during the time period you are examining by someone who personally examined it. So any source created after, any source with analysis, any source made by someone who did not experience it first hand

Secondary sources- translations, textbooks, articles written after event,

Primary-photos from event
Original scripts
Original works of art
Journal entries
