the lenght of pool and deck combined is = 52ft

and the width of the pool and deckcombined is = 24ft

now the area of the pool and the deck combined is =52*24

= 1248ft^2

The area of the pool is = 40*12

=480ft^2

Therefore the area of the deck is= area of combined pool and deck- area of pool

= 1248-480

=768ft^2
