Answer:

The primary role of the judicial branch is to keep the other branches powers within it's constitutional role. In the case of legislative branch, the judicial branch can rule that the acts/laws that are passed are unconstitutional, and therefore stopping them from becoming laws. In the case of the executive branch, Likewise, the judicial branch can declare executive orders issued from the executive branch as unconstitutional, overruling the executive order.
