Karen wants to make a sandwich she can choose from rye bread whole wheat bread or multigrain grain bread.Karen can choose one ingredient from turkey roast beef tuna or cheese to put on the bread .How many different sandwiches can she make?

Explanation:

Seeing since order does not matter, only one bread type can be chosen and only one ingredient can be chosen, then we can simply multiply the amount of different breads with the amount of different ingrediants. Since there are 3 types of breads (rye bread, whole wheat bread, and multigrain grain bread) and 5 types of ingredients (turkey, roast, beef, tuna, or cheese) we simply multiply these two amounts like so...

3 breads * 5 ingredients = 15 different sandwiches

As we can see Karen can choose from 15 different types of sandwiches to make.
